You are invited on Mon 6th October 11-12:30 CEST to the toolkit launch with ‘taster’ scenario exercises, guidance and case studies. Pre-registering is essential to ensure security.
There is a well-funded and coordinated anti-rights network exporting tried-and-tested tactics from country to country to erode our rights – part of their success is due to publicly attacking organisations and individuals advocating for gender, reproductive, and LGBTQI justice and putting us on the backfoot.
Over the past four years we have run 10 scenario workshops, in a range of contexts across Europe, practicing how activists would respond when an external anti-rights attack combined with the internal dilemmas that most frequently cause communications crises. We are now launching a Do-It-Yourself toolkit so you can facilitate a similar exercise and benefit from the insights (and mistakes) of your peers. In this 90-minute online launch event you will:
- Be introduced to the toolkit (which you can download and start using immediately afterwards).
- Hear from people who have already used it, how it helped them and what tips they would share.
- Practice together some of the exercises from the scenario workshops, adapted and shortened for an online session (so you will need to interact a little bit but you can still eat your lunch and not talk if you don’t want to).
This toolkit has been developed by IPPF’s Narratives & Opposition team with illustrations by Vidushi Yadav. The toolkit is based on the experiences of various scenario workshops over the past four years by IPPF national Member Associations, ILGA-Europe, and ILGA-Europe’s members.
