AIDS 2026 Brazil: Ensuring IPPF’s Voice Is Represented

Abstract Submission Deadline: 27 January 2026

Additional Deadlines:

The 26th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2026) will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 26–31 July 2026 at a critical moment for the global HIV response.

While Brazil is renowned for its warmth and openness, participation in the conference is not automatic, whether attending in person or virtually. If the Federation’s priorities, expertise and lived experience are to be visible, we must actively claim that space.

This is an important opportunity to strengthen our presence and influence. We encourage all Member Associations to take part.

How to Engage

  1. Submit an abstract by Monday, 27 January:
    www.iasociety.org/conferences/aids2026/take-part/abstract-submission

Abstract submissions shape the official conference programme. If you have research findings, programme outcomes or lessons learned to share, we strongly encourage you to submit.

  2. Participate in the Global Village and Youth Programme by Monday, 27 January: www.iasociety.org/conferences/aids2026/take-part/global-village

The Global Village is a central space for community engagement, creativity and dialogue throughout the conference.

    IPPF contributions may include:

Creative activities such as film, art exhibitions and live performances

Workshops and sessions to share expertise and practical experience

The Youth Programme, amplifying young people’s leadership and perspectives

Note: The IPPF Secretariat will submit an application for a booth.

  3. Apply for a Scholarship:
    www.iasociety.org/scholarships

Financial support is available through IAS scholarships to assist with participation costs. In addition, IPPF Member Associations may use Member Investment Vouchers, where applicable.
