Thank you to everyone who joined us for the webinar launch of IPPF’s Abortion Harm Reduction Guide on 2 December. The session was opened by Dr Nathalie Kapp, IPPF’s Chief Medical Advisor, and led by Melissa Cockroft, IPPF’s Global Abortion Lead, who introduced the guide and its practical application across our Federation.
We were also privileged to hear from two Member Associations: Reproductive Health Uganda (RHU) and INPPARES Peru. Annet Kyarimpa, Director of Programmes at RHU, and Guadalupe Torres, Project Coordinator at INPPARES, shared insightful reflections on the successes and challenges they have encountered while implementing the Abortion Harm Reduction model in their national contexts.

Who is this guide for?This guide provides practical strategies, information and tools for IPPF Member Associations (MAs) and Collaborative Partners (CPs) on how to implement the abortion harm reduction model. It is intended for both service delivery and non-service delivery MAs in stable and humanitarian contexts, but particularly those working in countries where abortion is severely legally restricted.
