Dear Colleagues,
In 2022, as part of the Come Together Strategy, IPPF proactively embarked on a journey to clarify its values and renew its brand. Building on more than 75 years of trailblazing struggles, we recognized the profound power that comes from reaffirming who we are and what we stand for, as we continue to ignite change.
Our new brand was born from our members’ voices and bravery – straight from the front lines of change. Nearly 1,500 persons, mostly MA staff and volunteers, participated in workshops, webinars, focus groups and surveys.
From the very beginning, our brand was meant to reflect our membership and the people who bring it to life every day: healthcare providers, educators, activists, movement-builders, and volunteers.
It shines with pride in our work and a deep sense of accountability for the trust placed in us. It carries our determination to uphold the dignity of all people, especially those most affected by inequalities and exclusion. It burns with conviction – steady, bright, and impossible to extinguish.
Grounded in our shared values, the brand is not just a new visual look, but a bold statement of defiance, solidarity, and hope.
We are transforming to stand even closer to the communities who rely on us, to speak truth without compromise, and to ignite action in the face of fear. This is about visibility, belonging, and power – about building a movement that people recognise, trust, and want to join.
Last week, we met virtually as a Secretariat to share the new brand story. This week, at ICFP, we launched our new brand in person.
As Alvaro Bermejo said this week, “We will not let that fire of shared solidarity, shared values, fade. We are going to take it from here – it is going to grow like a stream of energy, like a fire, and will continue, inextinguishable. Whatever happens, however they attack, wherever they advance, we will be there.”
Who is this for:
We set out to create a brand that moves IPPF closer to the communities and people who rely on us.
This re-brand is for our Member Associations, who bring care and advocacy to life across more than 150 countries.
We are evolving in service to those we stand beside, creating a Federation that reflects their strength and spirit: a place of acceptance, where love, dignity, and pleasure are celebrated and upheld.
What next:
We are proud to stand behind a brand that is bold, resilient, and unmistakably all of ours. It is our story refined and our promise renewed as we move forward with energy and conviction to connect more powerfully with the communities we serve and the partners and donors who share our values. This brand belongs to all of us now to carry forward, champion, and make undeniable in every space we occupy.
